Ian Warhurst - a talk on junipers and hawthorns, 8.4.2013
In the second half, Ian discussed the care and styling of hawthorns, from the roots upwards. He believes in a very free-draining compost for both junipers and hawthorns, so he needs to water and feed his trees more often.
Ian started by talking about the roots of junipers, his potting mix and his feeding regime. He then went on to demonstrate how he styles his trees in the Japanese way, bending branches and creating deadwood.
